About The Inn
This has been a hands-on project - every facet a chance to learn something new! We have increased our knowledge of renovations, working closely with our contractors. Next came learning about social media and Kickstarter (we ran a very successful campaign). We're learning bookkeeping. Even this website is a DIY project!
So as a guest what does this mean for you...
A stay at The Inn on Church is not a cookie cutter experience. We are invested in our guest's stay in our Inn and in Fairport. Our guest's needs and comfort are of our utmost concern. We have researched current travel trends and are translating into our offerings. We are well versed in gluten-free cooking and can also accommodate other food allergy needs.
The home has much to share from a historical perspective - visit our History page for more about this beautiful landmark.
Visiting this historic village is like taking a step back in time. The residents and village officials are committed to preserving the family-friendly and close community feel. There are many local restaurants, a village grocer, a meat market and gift shops. The village is very walk-able and hosts several village events and festivals each year.
Visit our While in Fairport page to learn more about our wonderful village.
About Pam - Co-owner and Managing Partner
Our family has lived in Fairport for 30+ years. We cannot imagine living anywhere else! I recently retired as the Director of Youth Ministries at Fairport United Methodist Church. For the past 10 years I have dreamed of owning an inn. I have a natural bent toward building social relationships and have always loved hosting guests. What an opportunity to bring together my beloved community and my personal passions! I believe that “enlightened hospitality” (borrowed from the book Setting the Table) will not only reflect well on The Inn but also represents the spirit of our village. My husband, Mark and I have renovated our current home in the village of Fairport and I grew up in a DIY family.
About Angela - Co-owner and Decorating Partner
I am currently a stay-at-home parent of four—my family firmly rooted in Fairport village life. While my formal training is in Anthropology (Ph.D. from S. U.), my true passion is in getting my hands dirty doing hands-on, creative projects. I am drawn to DIY house renovations (on our 1888 Fairport home!), handcrafted projects of all kinds. I love transforming an unloved piece of furniture into an updated, and usable work of art. I am chomping at the bit to develop a creative career that represents my values of resourcefulness and ingenuity.
